Whether you have kids with allergies, want to avoid the sugar high that comes with chocolate this Easter, or just want gifts that will last longer than 5 minutes, there's something in this post for you. I've put together a heap of non chocolate Easter gift ideas for kids of all ages so the Easter bunny can bring something other than chocolate for the kids this year. There's gift ideas for creative kids who love art and craft, toys, games, books and gifts for tweens.
EASTER GIFT IDEAS FOR CRAFTY KIDS
If you have a little artist then try some of these Easter themed art and craft gifts. They'll love getting creative with Easter themed crayons, chalk, playdough and painting.

There are so many different bunny, egg, chicken, duck and mixed Easter crayon sets available from Etsy and Amazon. Easter crayons are also perfect as class gifts or to use as a gift inside plastic eggs for an Easter egg hunt.
If you have lots of broken crayons at home you can recycle them into your own handmade Easter crayons by using an Easter themed silicone mould. Fill the mould with broken crayon pieces and heat in the oven until melted. Leave them to set until hard and you'll have brand new Easter crayons.

Little artists will also love the easi grip egg chalk from First Creations. These are fun for kids of all ages, including younger children just starting to mark make as they can easily grasp the egg shape and draw with very little pressure. These are available as a 6 pack or 12 pack from Entropy Toys, The Creative Toy Shop or Catch. You can also get a larger 24 pack of egg chalk from Micador if you need more to use as class gifts or separate between multiple siblings.
Easter Craft Kits
Craft kits are a great way to entertain the kids during school holidays so an Easter themed craft kit is an excellent way to keep the kids occupied over the April holidays. Companies such as My Creative Box have premade Easter craft kits with a range of Easter activities and craft items like masks, egg dying, stickers, playdough and more. There are also Easter craft kits available from Amazon, Amazon AU and Catch.
You could also make your own Easter craft kits for the kids by collecting some basic craft supplies and Easter themed craft items like stickers, plaster of paris, plastic eggs etc from dollar stores.
Easter Playdough Stamps
Easter playdough stamps are a great gift to fill the Easter basket or add into eggs for the egg hunt on Easter morning. These Easter theme stamps from Black House Handmade are easy for kids of all ages to use.
If you don't want to buy stamps you can always make your own using laser cut Easter embellishments and my DIY playdough stamp tutorial. You could also make a batch of homemade playdough to go along with the stamps for a completely DIY Easter gift.

So many egg-cellent ideas - there's something for everybunny! (Sorry, couldn't help myself! ) I'm eyeing off those crayons - they'd be great for my godchildren. I love to give something other than chocolate!
ReplyDeleteMy teenage son is one in a million. Although he CAN eat chocolate he doesn't LIKE it thanks to Grandma letting him seriously overindulge in M&Ms at Christmas when he was three years old! He has tried eating chocolate again several times over the years but just doesn't like it! So I've had to search for non chocolate goodies for him for years!
ReplyDeleteHis twin sister is an absolute chocoholic!
